Ritternet Spam & Virus Filtering (New Users’ page)
All existing and new customers of Ritternet should have received an email notification announcing the availability of Spam filtering, as well as the automatic filtering of all email for known viruses. Spam filtering is an optional and FREE service from Ritternet, and allows our customers the ability to prevent the delivery of unwanted or unsolicited email, or “Spam”.
Virus filtering has already been automatically activated for all Ritternet customers that use our email service. However, this service is only active for those that use a Ritternet supplied email address (ritternet.com, eritter.net, fastdata.net, inet-direct.com, nex.net), and does not apply to email from another service provider (e.g., hotmail, yahoo, etc.).
In the email notification, each customer is given a temporary password and a link to the Message Center web site, in order to activate and customize the Spam filtering service. This is a different password that the one assigned to each customer for accessing the Internet or for normally accessing email, and does not affect any of these settings on your computer.
New users to the Message Center are asked to create their own password for the purpose of activating and administering the filtering of junk email, or Spam mail. This can be the same password as the one used to access Ritternet, but could be a different password of the customer’s choosing.
If a Ritternet customer has not received this email notification, or for any reason has misplaced or lost their temporary password, please call our business office at 870.974.9100 or email at support@ritternet.com.
If you know your temporary password, go to Message Center Login .
